Patrons
of the Clarion Free Library can have home access to the Access PA Power Library
which

EBSCO Host: | A comprehensive periodicals and reference database including MasterFILE Premier, Business Source Elite, Health Source Plus, Newspaper Source, Middle Search Plus, Primary Search, and ERIC. |

EBSCO Searchasaurus: | EBSCO's newest user
search engine for elementary and middle
school students. These full text databases are searchable by keyword or by simply clicking on a subject of interest. Search results are clearly displayed, allowing children to easily select articles of interest. |

SIRS Discover Deluxe: | An interactive reference tool for young readers. It includes full text articles and graphics, accounting facts, and a world almanac. |
| AP Photos: | An archive of 500,000 current and historical photographs that can be searched by date, place and subject. More than 800 photographs added daily. Encyclopedia Americana Online:Over 45,000 articles, plus bibliographies, tables, maps and continuously updated links to related sites. | |
| Access PA Database: | Catalog records and locations for materials owned by over 1,500 school, public, academic and special libraries in Pennsylania. | |

Grove Dictionaries: | Comprehensive resources on topics relating to music, art, astronomy, astrophysics, and life sciences as well as access to the full text and graphics of Scientific American, 1993 to present. |

use the Power Library, you will need a current library card with a barcode number

If you live or work in our service area or attend Clarion University of PA, you are eligible for a Clarion Free Library Card. |
| You must show identification with name and address to register. | |
| There is no age requirement; however, a parent's (or legal guardian's) signature is required for applicants under 18. | |
| Your first library card is free. Replacement cards are $2.00 | |
| A LIBRARY CARD MUST BE PRESENTED AT EACH CHECKOUT. | |

| Patrons must use their own cards. | |
| Information about a patron's borrowing record can only be given to the patron. |

FINES
|
|
Fines are charges
for each day the library is open. Materials returned after the library
is closed are
considered returned the following day. |

If the library is closed for one hour or more due to inclement weather, fines will not be charged for that day. |
| |
If fines are not paid at the time materials are returned, the amount owed is added to your account. |
| If materials are lost,
damaged, or stolen, you will be charged the full replacement cost for each
item.
There will also be a processing fee of $10.00 for items over 30 days past due. |

Items that are new, missing or checked out may be placed on reserve either in person, by phone or going to our online card catalog |
|
|
Books may be renewed over the telephone or by email. Audiovideo items may be renewed at the circulation desk. |

Millions of books and other materials are within your reach. If you don't find what you need on our shelves or on our online catalog, searching Access PA Power Library Database for our area or throughout the state, we may be able to get what you need from another library. Books, magazines and a variety of other materials from the collections of all types of Pennsylvania libraries are available to you through Interlibrary Loan. If you have a current, valid library card from any Pennsylvania library, you can use our Interlibrary Loan service to borrow a specific book or article that the library's catalog doesn't have. Ask your library staff how you can borrow materials from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary loan forms are available at the Clarion Free Library or e-mail Mary. Items that are new, missing or checked out may be placed on reserve. |
Book Drop Information
The book drop is located on the west side of the building, side facing the post
office. Items can be
placed in it at any time.
